In 2020, while undergoing intensive treatment for Stage 3 breast cancer during the height of the pandemic, Amalie spent long periods in isolation — away from her child, husband, and friends to stay safe while navigating treatment alone. Seeking comfort, she turned to crystals, meditation, and candlelight to ease fear and anxiety.

However, most store-bought candles triggered nausea and headaches due to chemical sensitivities from treatment. After learning that many candles contain paraffin wax and synthetic fragrance oils with phthalates and parabens, she began researching and testing alternatives. A year of experimentation with sustainable, plant-based ingredients led to the creation of Light and Stone — a brand devoted to mindful, non-toxic wellness.

Specializing in small-batch luxury crystal candles, scented with a blend of essential oils and high-quality natural fragrance oils - phthalate and paraben free for a cleaner burn.
